About Us

Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous body under the Department of School Education, Government of Assam, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It oversees Adarsha Vidyalayas across Assam, aiming to deliver high-quality education at the Elementary, Secondary, and Higher Secondary levels. These schools cater to children aged 6 to 18, particularly in rural and remote areas, bridging gaps in access to English medium education.

Cultural Festival Performance

Cultural Festival 2024

  • The cultural festival event of students of Adarsha Vidyalayas, Cultural Fest'24 has been organized on 15th Sep, 2024 at Guwahati.
  • The event was inaugurated by Hon'ble Education, Scientific, Assam.
  • Two hundred and thirteen students from fifteen out, selected Adarsha Vidyalayas have showed their cultural performance under the direction and technical support of Mrs Anupama Choudhury Chowdhury, Consultant.
  • Hon'ble Chief Minister, Assam was the Chief Guest of the Programme.

Implementation of programme on ‘Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing for students of Adarsha Vidyalayas of Assam’

  • Prevent the development of emotional and behavioural problems
  • Promote social, emotional and behavioural development,
  • Earlier identification and intervention when problems do arise.
  • To decrease barriers to learning and increase overall success for students and schools.

INSIGHTFUL SESSION ON ASTROPHYSICS

  • On 6th February 2025, Shri Kaustav Kashyap Das, a Research Scholar from Caltech (California Institute of Technology), delivered an engaging lecture on celestial phenomena and space sciences, providing valuable insights to students from classes VI to XII
  • An interactive Q&A session encouraged active participation from students across all 56 schools, fostering in-depth discussions on astrophysics, space exploration, and scientific research.
  • The virtual session, conducted via Google Meet, was successfully organized with seamless coordination, ensuring an enriching and intellectually stimulating experience for all participants.

Empowering Learning: Integrating VR and HCI in Adarsha Vidyalayas

  • Had the distinct honor of attending a meeting with Sir, Associate Professor Keyur Sorathia, and his esteemed team from IIT Guwahati's Department of Design. Their visionary work in VR(Virtual Reality), HCI(Human-computer interaction)and assistive technologies is gracefully reshaping immersive experiences and digital education.
